Texas A&M GPA Expectations?

Hi everyone, I'm considering applying to Texas A&M. I'm wondering if anyone knows what their typical or average GPA requirement is or if there's a GPA they tend to like? Any info would be helpful!

Texas A&M doesn't explicitly state a minimum GPA requirement for admission. However, it's usual that applicants have strong academic records. In general, the average high school GPA of the admitted freshman class at Texas A&M was around 3.68 on the 4.0 scale indicating that primarily B+ students are accepted and ultimately attend.

However, keep in mind that Texas A&M adopts holistic admissions, which means that other factors such as SAT/ACT scores, extracurricular activities, essays, and recommendations, among other things, are taken into account as well. So, while GPA is important, it's not the only thing they consider, which can explain why there can be some variance in GPAs of accepted students.

This means that if your GPA is not as strong, other aspects of your application can help make you a competitive candidate. Remember, you don't necessarily have to be 'perfect' in every aspect, but a compelling application showcasing your strengths and dedication can increase your chances of admission.
