Hi everyone, I'm stressing out a bit on the ACT scores. Does anyone know typically how long it takes for ACT scores to be released after you've taken the test? I'm trying not to constantly check my account every two minutes, promise.
Hello! I can understand why you might be feeling antsy about your ACT score release. Here's what you can generally expect:
ACT scores usually begin to be released about ten days after your test date. The score report for your multiple-choice section should be out first. However, remember that this is just an estimate and it can sometimes take a bit longer, especially during high-volume testing periods. If you took the optional Writing test, your Writing score will typically be available about two weeks after your multiple-choice scores are out.
Things have been known to get a little backed up during particularly busy times, so don't panic if you don't see your scores right at the ten-day mark. It may take up to eight weeks for your scores to be posted, although this is less common.
Hang in there and try not to refresh your account page every few minutes! They'll be in when they're in, and checking constantly won't speed things up. Best of luck!
