UT Austin and the SAT: What's the deal?

Does anyone know if UT Austin requires the SAT? I'm trying to figure out what tests I need to take this junior year and it's stressing me out.

The SAT is indeed part of the application materials for the University of Texas at Austin. Starting from the 2024-2025 application cycle, they made the decision to require all applicants to submit either an SAT or ACT score for their application review.

It's definitely a bit stressful navigating all of the different requirements for each school, and things do change year by year. Just remember, as you're preparing for these exams, that standardized test scores are just one factor that admissions committees consider. They're also going to look at your transcript, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation. Balancing your preparation for the SAT with your schoolwork and activities is important too.

Good luck with your preparations! It's great to see you're planning your college application process ahead of time.
