Hi, everyone! I'm starting to plan out when to take my SAT. However, budgeting is a little bit of a concern for me. Does anyone know what the current registration fee for the SAT is? Should I expect any additional costs?
The standard registration fee for the SAT is $68, which includes four score reports that you can send to different colleges.
However, there are also additional costs you should be aware of. If you plan to take the SAT outside the United States, you may be charged a non-U.S. Regional fee which varies depending on the location.
Also, if you decide to register after the initial deadline, the late registration fee of $30 gets added on top of the standard fee. Alternately, if you wish to change the test center or test date after registering, there is a $25 change fee.
Remember these amounts are all in USD and be sure to budget for these potential expenses moving forward.
Just a reminder: in many cases, fee waivers are available for students from low-income families. You may be eligible for a waiver, so it's worth talking to your school counselor to see if you qualify.
