Anyone know about ASU's acceptance rate?

Hey guys, ASU is one of my prospective colleges and I was wondering what their acceptance rate is. Also, how competitive does my application need to be to get accepted? Hoping someone here can provide some insights.

Arizona State University (ASU) has what can be considered a moderately high acceptance rate. As of the most recent data, the acceptance rate stands around 90%. This indicates that they accept a good number of students who apply.

However, remember that acceptance rate isn't everything and doesn't give the full picture. Although they accept a majority of applicants, the competitiveness of your application still matters. Your GPA, course rigor, extracurriculars, and essays all contribute to your application's strength. You should aim to at least meet their average admitted student profile.

For instance, to give you an idea of what they are looking at, the average GPA for admitted students is around 3.54. If your GPA falls into or above this range, you would be considered a competitive applicant academically.

In terms of extracurriculars, ASU, like many colleges, prefers students who show a deep dedication to their activities rather than a superficial involvement in a multitude. A highly-involved participation in a fewer number of activities that demonstrates leadership skills and contributes positively to your community would be highly beneficial to your application.

Lastly, remember that personal essays are equally important in highlighting who you are outside of academics and extracurriculars. A well-written essay that is genuinely reflective of your personality and experiences can give you an edge. So don't neglect to spend adequate time and effort on your essay during the application process.

That being said, I'd encourage you to apply even if your stats are below the average. College admissions can be unpredictable and you never know unless you give it a shot!
