AP Score Reporting Question

Hey everyone, need a little help here! I've got my AP scores but what's the exact process to submit them to colleges? Should I use the College Board website? Are there other ways? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers!

While AP scores are not a crucial factor in college admissions, they can certainly showcase your academic strengths when they are strong. Here's how to go about reporting them:

1. Self-Reporting on Applications: Many universities will allow you to self-report your AP scores on your application. This means you simply enter your scores manually when completing your application form.

2. Sending Official AP Score Reports: To officially submit your scores to colleges, you can go through the College Board website. There's a section there for sending AP scores to colleges. Be aware there is a small fee for each report you send, unless you send your scores to a college within a certain timeframe after taking the test, in which case it's free.

3. College Transcripts: If you've used your AP scores for college credit at a college or university already, the scores might also be included on your college transcripts.

Remember, you do not need to send your scores until after you are admitted and decide to attend a particular school. Official AP score submissions are generally used for course placement and to claim credit once you're enrolled, not during the admission process itself.
