Toughest Degree to Pursue in the U.S.

Hello everyone! I've been thinking about my career path and I'm genuinely curious - what's the hardest degree to get in America? I don't mind a challenge but it's more about understanding and preparing myself for what comes next.

How difficult a degree is can depend a lot on individual strengths, interests, and work ethic, as well as the specific program and school. That being said, there are a few degrees that are often considered among the toughest due to their heavy workload, challenging course content, and demanding prerequisites.

One of these is the Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Engineering programs tend to require a strong foundation in math and science, and many of the courses can be quite difficult. Additionally, they often require extensive lab work, projects, or internships, which can make the workload heavier than many other majors.

Another challenging degree can be the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). BSN students need to master a wide range of topics from anatomy and physiology to pharmacology, all while gaining hands-on experience through clinical placements. It can be a demanding course for many.

Additionally, Bachelor degrees in Physics, Chemistry, or other hard sciences are known for their difficulty due to the abstract and complex concepts, as well as heavy lab and research work.

Similarly, Pre-Med students (those majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, and related fields with the intent to go to medical school) tend to have quite a challenging load as well, since medical schools have high expectations for GPA and extracurricular activities.

Remember, while these programs are tough, finding something you're truly interested in will make the challenges more enjoyable and rewarding.
