The Hardest AP Exam?

I've heard rumors going around about the toughest AP exam - some say Calculus BC, others say Physics C. Has anyone here taken multiple APs and can weigh in with a first-hand experience?

Given the broad range of AP exams and the diverse skills and interests of students, labeling one particular exam as the "hardest" can be quite subjective. How hard you find a particular exam depends on your personal strengths, interests, and academic background, as well as the quality of instruction you received in your AP classes.

However, if we were to talk about the exams that traditionally possess lower pass rates, the AP Physics C exams (both Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism) consistently rank amongst those with the toughest pass rates. Calculus BC typically has a high pass rate, but that's mainly because the group of students that takes this exam is quite self-selecting - the content can be challenging for many students.

Of course, student experiences can vary greatly. Some students might find Calculus BC more difficult due to the complex concepts and problem-solving involved, yet others might have a harder time with English Literature because they struggle with analysis.

When considering which AP exams to take, consider your personal strengths and the subjects you're most interested in, as you're likely to excel in areas where you're naturally strong or those that you feel passionate about, regardless of how difficult they're known to be. You should also evaluate how the courses align with your future academic and career goals as opposed to solely basing your decision on their perceived difficulty.

Hopefully, this initial overview was helpful, though!
