Hi there, I'm studying for the AP chemistry exam and I want to simulate exam conditions. Can somebody tell me how long the actual exam is?
The AP Chemistry exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes long in total. The exam is split into two sections. The first section, the multiple-choice section, has 60 questions, and you'll have 90 minutes to complete it.
The second section is the free-response section. It consists of 7 questions: 3 long free-response questions and 4 short free-response questions. This section also lasts for 90 minutes.
There's a 10-minute break between the multiple-choice and free-response sections, so be sure to factor that in if you're trying to replicate the test environment. Good luck with your studies!
