What's the needed SAT score for Harvard?

Hey folks, I'm rather curious about what SAT score Harvard typically looks for. Do they have a hard cut-off? Or are they more holistic in their admissions process? I've got a score and I'm just not sure if its competitive enough for Harvard.

For the most recent cohort, the middle 50% SAT range for Harvard was between 1500 and 1580. However, meeting or exceeding these scores does not guarantee admission, nor does a score below this range eliminate you from contention, especially at a highly-selective institution like Harvard.

Indeed, while your SAT score forms a critical part of your application, Harvard uses a holistic admissions process, examining every facet of your application, not merely your test scores. This means they'll look at your high school grades, the rigor of your course load, extracurricular involvement, essays, recommendation letters, and more.

Ultimately, while a solid SAT score can enhance your application, it does not make up for weaknesses in other areas. So, ensure that other aspects of your application, such as your extracurricular involvements and essays, are equally strong and well-rounded.
