Hey all! I’m doing some intensive SAT studying and I’m wondering if anyone knows how to access past SAT exams? It can really help me get practical understanding of the actual test. Thanks a lot!
Hey there! The digital SAT tests, which were introduced in spring 2024, are administered at testing centers and are not released publicly for students to use for practice. Therefore, unfortunately, it's not possible to access real, full-length past SAT exams from after the transition to the digital format.
Nonetheless, the College Board (the organization responsible for the SAT) has published a number of practice questions and previously released SAT exams from before 2024 that are still useful for studying. In addition, the College Board offers free Khan Academy SAT prep resources that can be quite beneficial.
To get a sense of the digital format, you can use The Bluebook™ app, which offers a full-length digital practice SAT that mimics the interface and format of the real digital SAT. This can be especially helpful if you’re looking for a more hands-on experience or to time yourself practicing with actual SAT questions.
Remember that practice is key in preparation for any standardized test. You may not be able to access the exact SAT exams other students have taken, but by practicing with equivalent materials you’ll sure get a good handle on the concepts and test-taking techniques required. Good luck with your studying!
