ACT Test Scores: Waiting Period?

Greetings everyone, I took the ACT test last weekend and now the wait is killing me! How long does it usually take to receive the ACT test scores?

RESPONDENT 1: Hi there! Generally, it takes about two weeks from the test day for the multiple-choice ACT scores to be posted online. So, if you took the test last weekend, you can likely expect your scores by the end of next week.

Keep in mind that if you took the Writing portion, that score may take a week or two longer. It does vary slightly in some cases, so don't be too concerned if you don't see them right at the two-week mark. It's easier said than done, I know, but try to be patient. The scores will come soon enough!

RESPONDENT 2: Hello! Indeed, the waiting period can be torturous. As for the ACT, scores for the multiple-choice section usually start rolling out about 10-14 days post your exam day. It's done on a rolling basis, so not everyone gets them at the exact same time.

I should also mention, if you took the writing test, those scores tend to take a bit longer, usually being available about two weeks after your multiple-choice scores. Just hang in there, hopefully you'll receive your scores soon!

RESPONDENT 3: Hey there! Yes, the waiting can be nerve-wracking, but in general ACT multiple-choice scores are typically available online about 10 to 14 days after you take the test. Remember that this is an approximation, and sometimes it might take a bit longer.

Also, if you have taken the writing test, these scores usually come out a couple of weeks after the multiple-choice scores. So ease your mind and try not to worry – your scores will be with you before you know it!
