Any tips for the SAT test in March?

Hey, guys! I'm signed up to take the SAT test in March and I'm feeling a little unprepared. Can anyone offer any advice or resources which would be beneficial? Especially things that are most relevant for this time of year?

Sure, I'd be glad to help you navigate this. It's crucial not to underestimate the power of familiarizing yourself with the test format - understanding the number of questions, time per section, and the format of every question type. Now that the SAT is fully digital, it's more critical than ever to get comfortable with the test layout.

Use the College Board's Bluebook™ app, which allows you to preview the test and take a full-length practice test. Going through multiple practice tests can boost your confidence as you understand the areas you excel in and those that need more work.

For the Reading and Writing sections, focus on increasing your stamina and pace. You'll have 32 minutes per module to complete 54 questions, which allow for about 71 seconds per question. Try to practice skimming passages quickly and accurately.

For the Math sections, you'll have 35 minutes per module to complete 44 questions, on average 96 seconds per question. Remember that you're now allowed to use your calculator on both modules, so make sure you're comfortable with using a digital calculator efficiently.

Consider forming study groups with friends who are also preparing for the test, as collaborative study can break the monotony and open avenues for peer-learning.

And lastly, try adding some regular physical activity to your routine if not already, and ensure you are getting the right amount of sleep. This can help reduce test-related anxiety and improve your concentration level.

It's also beneficial to plan and set regular study intervals rather than long, intense study sessions. Rest in-between and ensure you have time for relaxation, too. This will help you maintain the continuity in your preparation until March.

Consistent practice and a well-maintained routine should see you well-prepared by test day. Best of luck with your prep!
