Yale's Typical ACT Scores

Yale has always been my dream school. To be on the safe side, I'd like to aim higher with my ACT scores. What scores has Yale typically accepted in the past?

Yale University is a highly competitive institution, and the ACT scores of accepted students are usually top-notch. For some context, the middle 50% ACT scores (meaning that 50% of admitted students scored between these numbers) for Yale used to range from 33 to 35.

However, since Yale started requiring test scores again for the 2024-2025 application cycle, there isn't updated ACT data available yet. Given its academic prestige and selectivity, it's safe to suggest that aiming for a score in the 34-36 range would be ideal to be a competitive applicant.

Remember that Yale admissions will be looking for more than just high test scores. They also value strong grades in challenging courses, exceptional extracurricular involvement, compelling essays, and more. Pursue excellence in these areas to strengthen your application further.
