When do ACT Test Results get Released?

I'm about to take my ACT test soon. How long will it take for the results to be released generally? And do they release all the scores at once, or are some sections' scores released later? Thanks for your help!

Generally, ACT scores are released approximately two weeks after the test date, however, this may vary slightly depending on the testing cycle. Scores for the multiple-choice sections (English, Math, Reading, Science) are typically the first to be released, often within the first couple of weeks.

If you have taken the optional ACT writing test, those scores typically come out a little later, usually within the next two weeks after the multiple-choice scores. This is because the ACT writing portion of the test is evaluated more subjectively and requires more time to grade.

Note that while these are general timelines, there can always be unexpected delays that may affect the scoring and reporting of test scores. It's always a good idea to plan well in advance, especially if you're considering college application deadlines.

Also, keep in mind that while online score reports will be available to students, it can take a bit longer (around 3-8 weeks after the test date) for colleges and scholarship agencies to receive official score reports from ACT.

I hope this helps clarify the timeline for you, best of luck on your upcoming ACT!
