Does anyone know the average GPA at Case Western?

I've set my sights on Case Western for now, but I'm a little anxious about whether or not my GPA will make the cut. Can someone tell me what their average GPA is? Also, how much does Case Western weigh GPA in their admission decisions?

The most recent data shows that the average GPA of admitted students at Case Western is around a 3.8 on an unweighted scale. Keep in mind though, that's an average, so not every admitted student has a GPA that high.

When it comes to how much Case Western weighs GPA in their admissions, like nearly all universities, they consider your academic performance, represented by your GPA and standardized test scores, to be a critical factor. This suggests high-performing students with rigorous academic schedules in high school usually tend to catch their attention the most.

From an admissions standpoint, they review applications holistically, meaning they also consider context such as the strength and rigor of your curriculum and if you have taken AP or honors classes. Extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, essays, and other factors are also considered as they provide a deeper understanding of who you are as a student and person.

If your GPA is somewhat lower than the average, don't lose hope. Focus on supplementing your application with strong essays, letters of recommendation, and a list of solid extracurriculars to showcase your other strengths.
