In Search of Division 2 Colleges in Wisconsin

Hey guys, I'm from Wisconsin and looking for D2 colleges around here. I'm hoping to balance my academics with some pretty serious sports. Does anyone know of any Division 2 colleges in Wisconsin or near neighboring states? Any experience or knowledge about their athletics and academics? Thanks heaps!

There is only one college in Wisconsin that is currently a member of NCAA Division II—University of Wisconsin–Parkside. This school is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

You might also want to consider the colleges in Wisconsin that are Division III but have a good balance of athletics and academics. The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) is a collegiate athletic conference of eight public universities in Wisconsin and has more team and individual National Championships than any conference in NCAA Division III history. Among the WIAC, the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire have strong athletic programs.
