GPA Required for Stanford Admission?

I know Stanford is a reach for most people, and I'm really trying to up my game. Does anyone know what their average accepted GPA is, or if they have a minimum GPA requirement?

Stanford, like many other highly competitive institutions, does not have a specific minimum GPA requirement for its applicants. However, it's important to keep in mind that because of the nature of its selection process, the student profiles accepted at Stanford are usually very strong academically. Their average unweighted GPA tends to hover around 3.9, meaning that the majority of accepted students have near perfect GPAs during their high school years.

That being said, having a GPA below Stanford's average doesn't automatically disqualify you from consideration. Apart from GPA, Stanford looks closely at course rigor, particularly your capacity and willingness to challenge yourself with Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, if your school offers them.

Don't forget that extracurricular involvement, leadership roles, essays, and letters of recommendation are also vital components of the application process. Admissions officers at Stanford are looking for evidence of intellectual vitality, curiosity, and engagement, so make your application as multifaceted as possible.

And while a high GPA is an advantage, it is not a guarantee of admission, as Stanford employs a holistic review process and considers all aspects of an applicant's profile. Still, showing a strong academic record certainly helps demonstrate your readiness for Stanford's challenging academic environment.
