Required stats for Hunter College?

I'm really keen on applying to Hunter College and I can't figure out what their admission requirements are. Can anybody help with what GPA or test scores do they usually want?

Hunter College is a part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system and follows a holistic approach to admissions. However, generally speaking, accepted students tend to have some common statistical characteristics.

For GPA, the average high school GPA of freshmen students admitted to Hunter College is about 3.7 on a 4.0 scale, but don't be discouraged if your GPA is slightly lower. Different high schools have different grading scales, and Hunter College understands this diversity. While a strong GPA indicates academic seriousness, it's just one factor in the assessment.

In terms of SAT scores, the average among admitted applicants is 1240, with the middle 50% of accepted students scoring between 1150 and 1330. For ACT scores, the middle 50% ranged between 21 and 27.

Remember, these are not hard and fast admission requirements, and students with lower or higher scores are still considered for admission. Other factors such as your high school curriculum rigor, extracurricular activities, and personal essays are important as well. So even if your numbers aren't exactly in the above ranges, don't be discouraged from applying!

Keep in mind to also check any specific requirements related to your chosen program as certain selective programs may have additional or higher academic requirements. Your admissions officer or academic counselor can be a good resource for this information. Good luck!
