Help Needed with SAT Algebra Questions

Hi, I've been struggling with the algebra section on the SAT. I'm not quite sure how to approach these questions and I'm looking for advice on how to tackle them. Any resources/strategies you guys know of that could help me improve?

Understanding the algebra section on the SAT can be challenging, especially if you're not quite sure of the best way to approach the questions. Here are a few strategies that might help:

1. Review Basic Algebra Concepts: Before you start any sort of strategy or drill, it's important to brush up on your basic algebra concepts. This might include understanding linear equations, quadratic equations, exponential functions, etc.

2. Understand the Question: Be sure to read the question carefully and identify what it's asking you to do. Is the question asking you to solve for a variable, simplify the expression, or factor the expression? Knowing what the question expects is half the battle.

3. Practice: The College Board's official SAT practice app, Bluebook™, can give you a wealth of algebra practice questions, with solutions. The more you tackle them, the more accustomed you'll be to the style and structure of SAT algebra.

4. Break it Down: When you encounter an overwhelming algebra problem, it's often helpful to break it down into manageable parts. Understanding the individual elements of the equation can often make the path to the solution clearer.

5. Pace Yourself: The SAT is timed, the digital SAT provides you with roughly 95 seconds per question for each of the two 35-minute math modules. That doesn't mean you need to rush, but learning efficient paths to solutions will help ensure that you have time to complete every question.

6. Use Your Calculator: You're allowed to use a calculator on both math sections, so make good use of it to save time on more complex calculations.

Remember, practice makes perfect. Try to allocate time each day for SAT math practice. Best of luck in your endeavors!
