Converting ACT Score to SAT Score

So, I've taken the ACT and honestly feel that I did pretty well. However, the colleges I'm planning to apply to, mostly list SAT averages. Can someone explain how to convert my ACT score into SAT format?

To convert your ACT scores into SAT scores, you could use a concordance table published by the College Board and ACT organization. Unfortunately, there's no simple formula to convert your ACT score into an SAT score, and vice versa, due to the differing formats and scoring systems of the two exams.

To use the concordance table, you would simply locate your ACT score on the table, and then find the corresponding range of SAT scores in the adjacent tab. For instance, a 33 on the ACT corresponds to an SAT score in the range of 1450–1490. I urge you to use this as an estimate though, and to bear in mind that the two exams test slightly different skills and liabilities.

If you eventually decide to take the SAT, it would be best to prepare specifically for it. Similarly, if you're satisfied with your ACT score and it falls within or above the converted range of scores for your target colleges, then submitting your ACT score should be perfectly okay. Remember that colleges consider both scores equally in the admissions process.
