What's Georgetown's SAT Requirement?

Hi there, Georgetown is my dream school, but I'm getting mixed signals about their SAT requirements. Has anyone gone through the process and know what score they're expecting? Are there score differences based on the program you apply to?

Georgetown University takes a holistic approach to the admissions process, but they do have a general SAT score range they look for. According to their Class Profile of 2027, the SAT score range (middle 50%) is between 1390 and 1530 for admitted students.

As for differing SAT scores based on programs, Georgetown doesn't publish program-specific statistics. However, you can infer that some programs, like the John J. McDonough School of Business and the School of Foreign Service, might expect stronger scores due their highly competitive nature.

It's important to remember that these are only averages, and many admitted students fall outside these ranges. Besides your SAT score, Georgetown will evaluate your grades, course rigor, essays, and extracurricular involvements. If you're close to these score ranges or if your other qualifications are strong, Georgetown would likely still consider your application competitive.
