Looking for colleges with strong fashion programs

What's up folks? I've always been passionate about fashion and I've been thinking of pursuing this in college. Does anyone know of any colleges/universities with strong fashion programs, preferably with connections to the industry? I'd love to hear your recommendations!

Absolutely! There are a number of schools well-known for their fashion programs and industry connections. Here are a few:

1. Parsons School of Design: Located in New York City, the heart of the U.S. fashion industry, Parsons is renowned for its fashion design programs. Its graduates are often sought after by major fashion brands, and it's home to the annual Parsons Fashion Show, which attracts industry professionals from around the world.

2. Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT): Another NYC institution, FIT offers a wide variety of programs in fashion and related fields. They have strong connections to the industry, with many students securing internships and job placements with fashion houses and brands.

3. Central Saint Martins (CSM): If you're willing to consider going abroad, CSM in London, England, has an exceptional reputation in fashion design. Alumni include Stella McCartney, John Galliano, and Alexander McQueen.

4. Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD): Known for its collaborative environment, SCAD offers a number of fashion-related degree programs. The annual SCAD Fashion Show is a highlight, exposing students to industry professionals and press.

5. Rhode Island School of Design (RISD): While not a fashion-specific school, RISD's program offers a unique approach to fashion as a form of expression and social context.

Don't forget, a school's location can contribute greatly to its connections with the fashion industry. Cities like New York, Los Angeles, and London are major fashion hubs and often provide more networking and internship opportunities.

Remember also to check out each school's faculty roster and where its alumni typically find employment. This can give you an idea of a school's standing within the industry. Good luck on your fashion journey!
