1160 SAT to ACT conversion

Does anyone know how a 1160 SAT score converts to the ACT? I'm trying to figure out which test would be better for me given my score.

The conversion between the SAT and ACT scores isn't a perfect science, but there are some commonly used equivalencies. A 1160 on the SAT is typically seen as equivalent to a 24 on the ACT.

However, remember that the two tests assess different skills in different ways. The SAT may focus more on reasoning and vocabulary, while the ACT is usually more straightforward and content-heavy, testing more areas of math, and including a science reasoning section. Because they're so different, it's possible to score differently on each.

Consider which test suits your strengths better. If you're stronger in science and straightforward problem-solving, the ACT might be a good fit. If you excel in problem-solving and vocabulary-rich sections, the SAT might be better. A good strategy could be to take practice tests for both tests and compare your scores and comfort level with each test. Your comfort with the test format and its time constraints can often have a big influence on your score. Remember, a high score on either test is impressive to colleges!
