Hello! I've always dreamt of going to Stanford. Now that I'm a junior, it's time to make that dream a reality. Can anybody tell me what SAT score is usually required for successful admission to Stanford? Thanks heaps.
While Stanford University doesn't officially publish minimum SAT score requirements, typically successful applicants have high scores. According to their latest class profile most admitted students fall within the 50th percentiles (the middle 50% range) of approximately 1500-1570. This includes results from both the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections of the SAT. However, remember that admissions at Stanford are holistic.
Although a strong SAT score is important, they take into consideration all aspects of your application: academic record, extracurricular activities, essays, recommendation letters, your passion, and your potential to contribute to the Stanford community. Therefore, while having a high SAT score can aid your application considerably, it alone won't guarantee admission. You'll need to excel in other areas as well to make your application stand out. Wishing you all the best in your college admissions journey!
