What are the average SAT scores for acceptance into University of Delaware?

Hey there fellow future college students!!! So I've been considering University of Delaware as one of my top choices and have been getting into the whole SAT prepping thing. I know, kinda stressful. But does anyone know what range of SAT scores they typically accept? I'm trying to set a realistic goal score for myself. Thanks!

Hello! You're wise to set a realistic goal score to aim for as you're preparing for the SAT. Knowing typical admissions criteria can definitely provide a useful benchmark. The University of Delaware doesn't provide an average SAT score for admitted students, but they do share a middle 50% SAT range for accepted applicants. This range of scores captures the middle half of admitted students - in other words, 25% of students scored below this range, and 25% scored above it. For the University of Delaware, the middle 50% SAT range is typically around 1220-1360.

Remember, this range stands as a general guide rather than an absolute rule. It's entirely possible to get accepted with a score that falls outside of this range, especially if the rest of your application is strong. For example, if you have a sparkling GPA, rigorous course load, or compelling essay and extracurricular activities, those factors could potentially offset a lower SAT score.

On the other hand, if your score falls within or exceeds this range, it doesn't guarantee admission, as universities consider a holistic view of each applicant. However, meeting or surpassing this middle 50% range can indeed increase your chances of admission, so striving for these scores could be a useful goal while preparing for your SAT. Good luck with your preparations!
