What's the process for an ACT refund?

Hey guys, the circumstances have changed and I don't think I'll be able to take the ACT test that I'd registered for. Does anyone know how the ACT refund system works? Or is my money a goner?

Hey, I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise that might prevent you from taking the ACT as planned. While I share your disappointment, it's important to know that the ACT, unfortunately, does not issue refunds for their registration fees—if you are unable to attend on your test day, the funds are not returned to you, as stated in their cancellation policy.

However, all hope isn't lost. If you're unable to sit for the test on your registered date but think you may be able to take it at a later date, you could consider rescheduling your ACT test instead. There is rescheduling fee associated with this, but it's usually less than the initial cost of registration for the test, so you might find this option more desirable. You'll need to contact ACT by phone or mail to make these changes.

While I understand that this might not be the news you were hoping for, I hope this information is helpful to you. You might want to keep this in mind for future reference when scheduling exams. Best of luck!
