What is the average ACT score for students admitted to Auburn University?

I was looking at Auburn University as a potential college I might apply to. Could anyone tell me what the average ACT score is for those admitted? Would a score a couple of points lower be a deal breaker?

The middle 50% of admitted students to Auburn University typically score between 25 and 31 on the ACT. This statistic means that 25% of accepted students score below 25, 25% of students score above 31, and the remaining 50% fall within this range. If your ACT score falls within or above this range, then you're in a solid position for admission.

However, if your score is a few points below this range, it doesn’t mean Auburn University is completely out of reach. Although standardized test scores are a part of the admissions process, they are not the only thing admissions officers consider. Your transcript, extracurricular activities, and any additional materials like essays and letters of recommendation can also make a significant impact on your application, which can sometimes compensate for a lower score.

Remember that all parts of the application help to provide a holistic view of you as a candidate. Demonstrating your interest and fit in the school culture and showcasing a strong academic performance or commitment to extracurriculars can sometimes weigh more compared to your test scores. Therefore, a lower ACT score is not always a deal breaker. However, an above-average ACT score can certainly boost your odds and provide more security in your application.

Always double check the range of scores admitted for each admission cycle as they can change based on various factors, such as the pool of applicants. But 25-31 should give you a solid general target. Good luck!
