Hi everyone! I'm trying to gauge my chances at Emory University. I've seen the average ACT scores, but was wondering if anyone knew what might be a 'safe' score for admission here? Is it a hard cutoff or can other parts of my app make up for a lower score?
Emory University, like many selective institutions, employs a holistic admissions process. This means they look at your application in its entirety - your high school coursework, GPA, letters of recommendation, personal essays, as well as your extracurricular activities and community involvement.
Emory is test optional for first year students who start in Fall 2024. SAT/ACT scores are not required. If submitted, test scores will be reviewed as a demonstration of the applicant's academic preparation.
Remember that your essays, courses, grades, and extracurriculars can also significantly influence your admissions decision at Emory.
Believe in the strength of your entire application and put as much effort into each component as you can. Best of luck with your application!
