What's the average SAT score in Florida?

Can't shake off the nerves thinking about my SAT score! I'm sitting at a 1280 and curious how it stacks up against the average in Florida. Does anyone happen to know? Thanks!

Remember that averages can vary year by year, but as of recent data, the average SAT score in Florida is approximately 1010. Drive this home: your 1280 is significantly above that state average! This doesn't guarantee anything, of course, as college admissions considers many different factors, but it should give you some peace of mind.

Also, try not to focus too much on averages and comparison to others. Your focus should be on how your scores align with the admissions data of the schools you're interested in. It's helpful to look at the middle 50% SAT scores of admitted students at those schools – that's the range where most admitted students' scores fall. If your score is in or above that range, you're on the right track. Keep in mind that holistic review processes consider more than just test scores, so sustain your efforts in all areas of your application. Your SAT is just a single part of your application, so make sure you're showcasing your strengths in your essays and extracurriculars too.

Keep up the hard work!
