What's the deal with SAT score releases?

Hey community, I took the SAT recently. I've heard a lot of different answers—so can someone please clear up what time the SAT scores usually come out?

SAT scores are generally released online 10 to 13 days after you take the test, at around 8 a.m. Eastern Time. This can vary a little bit based on whether it's the weekend or holiday, as the College Board usually doesn't release scores on non-business days.

A key thing to remember is that the score releases are done in batches throughout the day, so not everyone receives their scores at the same time. If you login and don't see your scores yet, don't panic! While it is natural to feel a bit of anxiety while waiting for your scores, rest assured they will eventually appear.

Another important note: you will receive an email from the College Board when your scores are available. So if you check your account and don't yet see your scores, look out for that email.

Lastly, if it's been more than three weeks since you took the test and you still have not received your scores, there might be a delay due to some form of administrative review, such as a suspected cheating incident at the test center. In such cases, you should contact the College Board directly.

Best of luck and I hope you get the scores you aimed for!
