What's the minimum GPA for Cal States?

I'm interested in applying to a few different Cal State schools. Can anyone spill on what the minimum GPA is for admission? Just trying to see where I stack up.

The California State University system has a collective GPA minimum of 2.50 for California residents, and 3.0 for non-residents. However, meeting this minimum is often not sufficient for acceptance. For first-year admission, a competitive academic profile would typically include a GPA of 3.0 or higher for California residents. Non-residents or private high school students should aim for a GPA of 3.61 or higher, although depending on the campus and program, the average GPAs of admitted students could be higher than these minimums. Take these figures as a general guideline, but be sure to check each campus that you're interested in for the most specific and up-to-date admission standards.

In addition to GPA, Cal State schools look at 'a-g' requirements, which include specific courses during high school in certain subject areas, so make sure you're on track with those as well!

Ultimately, keep in mind that GPA is one piece, but not the only piece of the admissions puzzle. Good luck on your journey!
