Colleges with Early Decision Options?

Hi guys, I've been researching and come across this thing called 'Early Decision', but I'm not quite sure which colleges offer it. Could anyone help me out and let me know which colleges practice an early decision system? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Absolutely, happy to help! Early Decision (ED) is an application process by which prospective students show their commitment to a first-choice school. It is a binding agreement - if the school accepts you, you are obliged to enroll provided that the school's financial aid award makes it possible to attend.

Many colleges across the country offer an ED option, and the list is too expansive to list all of them, but here are a notable few:

- Ivy League schools such as Harvard, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, and the University of Pennsylvania

- Other high-ranked institutions like Duke University, Vanderbilt University, and Northwestern University

- Liberal Arts Colleges such as Williams College, Swarthmore College, and Pomona College

The exact deadlines for early decision typically fall in November, but you should check the specific deadlines of any college you're interested in, as dates may vary. The decision is typically announced in mid-December.

Remember, applying ED is a binding agreement, meaning if you're accepted, you are committing to attend that school (unless the financial aid provided is inadequate), so you should only apply ED to your top-choice school.
