Balancing Class Subjects

Hey all, as a junior, I'm getting pretty stressed out about how to balance all my different class subjects. How do you guys maintain really good grades in multiple demanding classes like AP Chemistry, Calculus BC, English Comp, and U.S. History? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

In dealing with a rigorous course load, one of the key principles is effective time management. Being organized can help you allocate appropriate time to all those demanding subjects and ensure none of them is neglected.

In terms of studying, you might want to try focusing on one subject per day. Instead of switching between four different subjects in one day, concentrate on understanding one topic thoroughly. This method lowers cognitive overload and allows for deeper understanding.

That being said, some subjects may require daily practice. For subjects like Calculus BC and AP Chemistry that require problems solving, it's often beneficial to practice on a daily basis. This doesn't mean you need to spend hours every day—nailing a few problems daily would suffice.

Also, prioritize your study based on upcoming assessments. If you have a history exam next week, focus more time on U.S. History than English Composition and sustain this strategy throughout the school year.

Moreover, make use of available resources to keep the learning curve smooth. This might include getting clarification from teachers, using online resources like Khan Academy or reaching out to study groups.

Hope this gives you a starting point. Remember, it's about finding what works best for you! You can do this.
