Hey everyone, I'm setting my sights on Duke University and I've started prepping for the SAT. I need a target score range though. Does anyone know what the current SAT score requirements are for Duke?
Certainly, Duke University is quite competitive when it comes to SAT scores. However, rather than having a strict "score requirement," universities like Duke have a range of scores from admitted students.
As of the 2023-2024 admissions cycle, Duke University is still test-optional, and doesn't require applicants to submit an SAT or ACT score. That said, for the most recent admitted class, the middle 50% SAT score range was 1520-1570 out of 1600.
But don't forget, your score is only one part of your application. Good grades, rigorous classes, outstanding essays, and impressive extracurriculars are all key pieces of your application as well.
Additionally, remember that the SAT has transitioned to a fully digital format and that the College Board provides prep resources through Khan Academy, and the Bluebook™ app, which you might find useful.
Best of luck on your journey to Duke!
