What's the GPA requirement for CU Boulder?

Hey, Boulder's been on my radar lately and I'm doing some research about academics. I was wondering what GPA they usually expect from their applicants? Does anyone know if they prefer weighted or unweighted GPAs?

CU Boulder generally looks for students with a GPA in the range of 3.6 to 4.0. Keep in mind, this is an average GPA range, meaning that some admitted students had GPAs below 3.6 and some had above 4.0. Additionally, CU Boulder does look at both weighted and unweighted GPAs.

However, if your GPA is lower, don't be discouraged. CU Boulder also takes into account the rigor of your high school classes. If you are taking a lot of AP or honors classes, that could positively impact your application, even if it drags your GPA down slightly.

Additionally, consider other parts of your application, too. Beyond GPA, your test scores (if you choose to submit them), letters of recommendation, essays, and extracurricular activities are all taken into account. Remember, just like with most colleges, admissions at CU Boulder are holistic, which means all aspects of your application are considered.

Remember to thoroughly review the school’s specific requirements to best understand what they're looking for in applicants.
