GPA range at UIUC

Hey folks! Looking into UIUC but not sure if my GPA is up to standard. Do you guys know what GPA most admitted students have? Much appreciated y'all!

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) has a variety of different colleges with different academic strengths, so the average GPA of admitted students can vary depending on the program you apply to. However, a general benchmark for UIUC is that most successful applicants have a high school GPA of 3.68 - 4.0.

Remember, the GPA is unweighted, meaning only academic courses are factored into it. If you have a lower GPA, it can often be offset by other strong aspects of your application, like high standardized test scores (if you're submitting them) or notable extracurricular activities.

One important factor to keep in mind is that UIUC does look at the rigour of your high school curriculum. So taking APs and maintaining a strong GPA in these classes could improve your chances.

As always, your GPA is just one part of your application, and schools like UIUC consider everything from your course rigor to essays and letters of recommendation. So, even if you feel your GPA isn't as strong as you'd like, other parts of your application could certainly make up for this.
