Notre Dame College vs Notre Dame University

I'm kind of confused. Is Notre Dame College the same as Notre Dame University or are they totally different? What's the main differences between these two Institutions?

These are indeed two different institutions!

Notre Dame College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts college located in South Euclid, Ohio. It was established in 1922 by the Sisters of Notre Dame. The college offers a wide variety of majors within the divisions of Arts and Humanities, Business Administration, Nursing, Science and Mathematics. The college is known for its programs in education and nursing. The student body is compact, maintaining a small, close-knit academic environment.

On the other hand, the University of Notre Dame, often just referred to as Notre Dame, is a larger, private Catholic research university located near South Bend, Indiana. Founded in 1842, it's especially noted for its programs in Business, especially the Mendoza College of Business, and Humanities, along with their School of Architecture and Engineering. A strong focus on residential life is also a trademark of the University of Notre Dame.

Both institutions uphold Catholic traditions and are well-regarded, but they offer different academic and social experiences due to their size, location, and specific areas of academic strength. Always consider factors like your degree goals, campus culture preferences, and financial factors when choosing a college.
