AP Seminar Exam 2024

I'm planning to take the AP Seminar exam in 2024, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any major changes happening for that year? Or will the format remain mostly the same as it's been in the past?

As far as I'm aware, the College Board has not announced any significant changes to the format of the AP Seminar exam for 2024. The exam has typically consisted of two sections: a Team Project and Presentation and an Individual Project and Presentation, and an end-of-course written exam.

The Team Project and Presentation makes up 20% of the exam score. As part of a team, students identify, investigate, analyze, and evaluate a real-world or academic problem or issue. Then they propose solutions or recommendations.

The Individual Project and Presentation account for 35% of the exam score. For this portion, you independently identify, investigate, analyze, and evaluate a real-world or academic problem or issue. Then you propose a solution or recommendation and deliver a multimedia presentation of your results.

The end-of-course exam takes the remaining 45% of your AP Seminar score. This written exam consists of a few short answer questions and an essay response. You'll analyze an issue presented in multiple sources and create an argument based on those sources.

These proportions and formats are subject to change, but typically, the College Board announces any changes a fair amount in advance. It would be a good idea to keep an eye on the AP Seminar course homepage on the College Board website for any announcements or changes to the course or exam just to stay updated.
