USC ACT Requirements

Hey guys, I'm a junior starting to plan my applications. I've been really interested in University of Southern California (USC) but I can't find anything concrete about their ACT requirements. Can any current USC students or folks who applied there recently clarify for me?

The University of Southern California (USC) adopted a test-optional policy for 2024-2025 application cycle, meaning they don't require you to submit SAT or ACT scores as part of your application. However, USC hasn't publicly mentioned whether this policy will extend to future admission cycles. So, for your 2025-2026 application cycle, the testing policy is currently uncertain.

If you're interested and the policy remains test-optional:

1. If you feel that your ACT or SAT scores strengthen your application, you might choose to submit them.

2. If you believe your scores don't reflect your academic capabilities, you can choose not to submit.

In previous pre-pandemic years, successful applicants generally scored highly on the ACT. The middle 50% range has typically been around 30-34. That means 25% of accepted students scored below 30, while 25% scored above 34. But those were ballpark figures and test scores were just one part of the application review.

I'd strongly recommend you to stay updated with USC's admission policies through their official admissions website or contact their admissions office directly for the most accurate and current information.
