What's the average SAT score for UCF admissions?

Hi community, stressing about my SAT score. I got 1240. Is that competitive enough for UCF or should I consider a retake? Thanks guys!

While it can be useful to aim for high test scores, keep in mind that your SAT score is just one part of your application. As of the latest data, the middle 50% SAT score range for admitted students at University of Central Florida is approximately 1190 - 1340. This means that 25% of students scored below 1190, 50% of students scored between 1190 and 1340, and 25% of students scored above 1340.

Your score of 1240 falls into the middle 50% range, making it most definitely competitive for UCF. You're above the 25th percentile and being in the middle 50% range means your score fits within the typical range of scores for admitted students.

Of course, if you feel you can improve your score and have the time and resources to prepare, re-taking the SAT could be beneficial. But it's also important to focus on other aspects of your application, such as your essay, extracurricular activities, and GPA, as they will also play significant roles in the admissions decision. Keep in mind that academic readiness is about more than just test scores. Good luck!
