What are satisfactory SAT scores for Vassar College?

I'm really aiming for Vassar College because I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'm preparing for my SATs at the moment and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what scores are typically needed to get accepted into Vassar. Is there a particular threshold I should aim for?

While Vassar College does not publish a minimum required SAT score, students who are admitted typically have strong scores. According to data from the most recent admitted class, the middle 50% of enrolled first-year students had SAT scores between 1420 and 1540.

However, it's worth reiterating that Vassar, like many colleges, has adopted a test-optional policy. This means that submitting SAT or ACT scores is no longer a necessity for your application. If you feel that your SAT scores don't reflect your academic abilities, you might want to consider not submitting them.

Instead, Vassar will place a greater emphasis on other aspects of your application, such as your GPA, course rigor, essays, recommendation letters, and extracurricular achievements. With this in mind, you should focus on creating a well-rounded application that illustrates your character and skills, rather than only concentrating on achieving a specific SAT score.

If you decide to take the SAT, aim to score within or above the middle 50% range to improve your chances of acceptance. These figures should give you an understanding of the scores that previous successful applicants achieved. But remember, just meeting these SAT ranges does not guarantee admission, as Vassar's admissions process reviews each application holistically. Good luck with your preparations!
