What GPA does Harvard typically expect?

So, I've got Harvard on my dream list (who doesn't, right?), and I'm super curious about their academic expectations. Specifically, does anyone know what the average GPA of accepted applicants is? I'm kinda stressed right now so any info would be appreciated, thanks!

Harvard University, like many Ivy League and highly selective colleges, usually admits students with very strong academic profiles. The majority of accepted students at Harvard typically have a GPA of 4.0 or very close to it in an unweighted scale if their high school uses it. If your school comes up with weighted GPAs, many accepted students will have GPAs that exceed a 4.0 due to the rigorous curriculum like AP or IB classes.

Ah, but here's the catch: a high GPA alone is not enough. Harvard also considers the rigor of the classes you take. That means, if given the choice, it's better to earn a B in an AP or honors course than to coast to an easy A in a regular-level class. This should, in theory, balance out your GPA.

It's worth remembering that GPA is just one part of the application process at Harvard, which takes a holistic approach in reviewing applications and considers essays, recommendation letters, extracurricular activities, and interviews. In short, while keeping those grades up is important, it's vital to show who you are beyond the numbers too. Try not to be too stressed, and focus on presenting your best complete self in your application! It's quite an endeavor, and we're all rooting for you.
