SAT scores for LSU?

Hello! I'm starting to look into colleges and LSU is one of them. It seems there might be an SAT score requirement or that at least it's somewhat important for applications there. Would anyone happen to have any information regarding SAT score requirements or averages for LSU?

Hello! LSU (Louisiana State University) indeed considers SAT scores as part of their application process. As per the most recent data, the middle 50% SAT scores of admitted students at LSU range from 1140 to 1320.

This means that 25% of LSU's admitted students score under 1140, and another 25% of admitted students score over 1320. Of course, this does not mean scoring outside this range is a disqualifier; it just provides insight into where most admitted students stand.

Keep in mind that while test scores can play an important role, they're just one part of your entire application. LSU will also consider factors like your GPA, course schedule, and extracurricular activities. For instance, if you have strong grades in challenging courses or show exceptional talent or leadership in extracurricular activities, a lower SAT score may be offset.

Just remember, if you are aiming for LSU and have a score lower than these ranges, it could be beneficial to retake the SAT to improve your score closer to or above the higher range. This would strengthen your candidacy!
