Hey everyone, I've been super into Cal Poly because of their hands-on engineering programs, but I'm trying to widen my search. Does anyone know other colleges with a similar 'learn by doing' approach to engineering?
That's a great question! If you're inspired by Cal Poly's hands-on learning ethos, several other institutions also have similar philosophies. For instance, Olin College of Engineering in Massachusetts is known for its project-based curriculum and extremely collaborative environment. It's a smaller school with a tight-knit community where you're sure to get lots of hands-on experience. Another option could be Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York, which offers a co-op program that integrates work experience into the academic curriculum, so you get loads of practical experience before even graduating. Lastly, check out the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which although highly selective, is renowned for its emphasis on innovation and real-world problem-solving. It would be an exciting challenge to pursue! Hope this helps you find a program that fits what you're looking for!
