Hey guys, I'm currently preparing for the SAT and UGA is high on my list of desired colleges. Can anyone tell me what SAT score UGA typically requires for admissions? I just want to set a reasonable target for myself.
The average SAT score for admitted students at the University of Georgia (UGA) tends to hover around the 1310 to 1470 range. This, however, is just an average and there are certainly students who get admitted with scores that are a bit lower or higher.
It's also important to note that while your SAT score is an important part of your application, UGA reviews applications holistically. That means they'll also be considering your coursework, GPA, extracurriculars, and essay when making an admissions decision.
Remember, too, that setting a target score can be a useful way to focus your test preparation. Aim for a score within the middle 50% range of UGA's admitted student numbers, or better yet, aim to exceed it. As you prepare for the test, make sure to take full length practice tests under timed conditions to familiarize yourself with the test format.
Good luck with your SAT preparation and your journey to get into UGA!
