College suggestions around St. Augustine?

Hey everyone, I'm a junior exploring college options. I've been particularly interested in St. Augustine because of the area's unique vibe. Can anyone suggest any good colleges in or near St. Augustine, Florida, and provide some insight into them? Thanks a ton!

Sure! In terms of proximity to St. Augustine, you have a few options:

1. Flagler College is located right in St. Augustine. It's a small, private liberal arts college known for its stunning Spanish Renaissance architecture and small class sizes. Its most popular majors include Business, Graphic Design, and Communications.

2. Further out, in Jacksonville (roughly 50 minutes away), there's University of North Florida (UNF). UNF offers a wider range of academic programs, with a strong focus on business, nursing, and psychology. It’s a public university, so tuition might be more affordable especially for in-state students. Additionally, the school performs well in supporting the well-being of its students and has been recognized for its commitment to diversity.

3. Jacksonville University (JU) is another option. It's smaller than UNF but it's still larger than Flagler. It's known for its nursing program, it has a strong arts program, and its marine science research institute is also noteworthy.

4. There's also Stetson University in DeLand, about an hour and a half away from St. Augustine. Stetson is a private university acclaimed for programs in music, business, and law.

5. If you're open to community colleges, there's St. Johns River State College which has a campus in St. Augustine.

Generally speaking, all the schools I mentioned have different strengths and campus vibes, so it's worth visiting them, if possible. Be sure to research each school's academic programs, extracurricular opportunities, and financial structure to identify the best fit for you. Good luck with your college search!
