The city has a vibrant culture filled with all kinds of amenities that college students can enjoy. There's the Durham Bulls Athletic Park for baseball enthusiasts, the Museum of Life and Science which is a tremendous local resource, and plenty of restaurants, breweries, and music venues that contribute to an active nightlife.
In terms of campus life, Duke's campus is spread over 8,600 acres, thus providing plenty of outdoor space for students. There's the scenic Sarah P. Duke Gardens and Duke Forest for nature enthusiasts, as well as amenities like the Nasher Museum of Art on campus. It's truly a lively and bustling environment filled with diverse experiences.
The school is heavily invested in athletics (particularly basketball), thus the campus spirit is high, particularly during basketball season. The Cameron Crazies, Duke's fan base, are ever-ready to support their Blue Devils at the Cameron Indoor Stadium.
