Evangel University is a comprehensive Christian institution located in Springfield, Missouri, that boasts a strong commitment to cultivating and refining the spiritual, academic, and personal qualities of its students. The university's goal is to prepare students for careers and service through an education firmly rooted in biblical principles.

A core focus of the university is integrating faith and learning in every classroom and discipline, presenting an approach to education that is distinct from many other institutions. Specifically, Evangel's robust offerings in Ministry and Theology typify its unique identity as a faith-based institution. Their music program is also notably strong and well-respected.

They offer more than 70 undergraduate and 19 graduate degrees spanning a number of disciplines, from Business & Management to Education, Behavioral & Social Sciences, and Fine Arts, among others. It's smaller in size with a student population hovering around 2,200, contributing to a more intimate, community-centric campus culture.

As a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Evangel fields competitive teams in a variety of sports, including basketball, football, volleyball, and track & field, under the team name Crusaders.

While Evangel isn't among the most widely recognized universities in the nation, it upholds a strong reputation in the Christian liberal arts and sciences community, notable for its dedication to promoting spiritual development and character formation among its students. For interested students, I'd recommend a campus visit or arranging an exchange with current student or alum to glean a deeper, more personal understanding of the university's environment and offerings!
