Tandon School of Engineering at NYU - Experiences?

Hey friends, I've been considering Tandon School of Engineering at NYU as one of my options. Can anyone share their experiences (either personal or from friends) about the school, especially in regard to the curriculum and student life?

Absolutely! The NYU Tandon School of Engineering, is generally well-regarded for its engineering and applied science programs. As far as the curriculum goes, you can expect a rigorous, hands-on learning style. They put a great deal of emphasis on innovation, research, and practical application, which many students find both challenging and rewarding.

The professors are known to be experts in their fields and are generally quite approachable. You'll likely have opportunities to participate in research projects, internships, and innovative initiatives, which are invaluable for gaining practical experience.

As for student life, it's a dynamic environment. There are numerous student organizations and clubs, so you'll find plenty of avenues to explore outside of your coursework. The school is in Brooklyn, so you'll have easy access to all the cultural, culinary, and career opportunities that New York City offers.

One thing to note is, the student body at NYU Tandon is more commuter-based compared to other NYU schools, which some students feel affects the sense of community. However, others see it as a chance to strike a balance between college life and life in the city.

Remember, everyone's college experience is unique and is dependent upon personal perspective, so it's always good to reach out to current students or alumni from the school for multiple viewpoints.
